EXHIBITION
SEPTEMBER 2024
VALENÇAY, FRANCE
During a one-week residency in the Indre region, graciously hosted by the Château de Valençay and the CAUE, our team developed an educational scale model for the exhibition "Napoléon-Louis de Talleyrand and the Dauvergne Cabinet", showcased in the spring of 2025.
Our approach was driven by a desire to reveal the "constructive truth" of the site. Beyond simple aesthetics, the model was designed to articulate the sedimentation of time and the physical evolution of the walls.

This exhibition featured two key components, starting with a detailed sectional model that included laser-engraved material names on a plexiglass overlay to help visitors visualize the internal assembly of the historical walls. The second component consisted of an interactive material study featuring a 1:1 scale tactile installation, where salvaged materials recovered directly from the Château de Valençay invited visitors to engage with the materiality of the past and experience a tangible connection to the history embedded within the architecture.
