MUSEO RUFINO TAMAYO
OCTOBER 2024
Designed by Mexican architects Teodoro González de León and Abraham Zabludovsky, the Rufino Tamayo Museum is located in the heart of Chapultepec Park in Mexico City. Opened in 1981, this contemporary art museum is renowned for its expressive use of raw concrete.
My model highlights the choice of this material: an earthy hue that harmonizes with the park's natural tones while referencing Mexico's cultural roots. These shades directly evoke pre-Columbian architecture, echoing the monumentality of ancient Aztec and Mayan pyramids and temples.
